Wlcome to Finland! The Finnish National
Rural Network, in collaboration with the European Network for Rural
Development
(ENRD), three Leader Action Groups and Finnish forest expert
organizations is
organising a three day event to describe, analyze, discuss and get
acquainted
with forest-based bioenergy issues
will be held on
October 25-27, 2011 in Punkaharju, Finland
The seminar gathers
together developers to discuss and share experiences on what kind of
forest-based bioenergy development is taking place in different Rural
Development Programmes and what will be the future of forest-based
bioenergy in
EU.
The
target group of the seminar are:
- LAGs and NRNs
- Governmental institutions
- Forest-based bioenergy
experts and developers
- Entrepreneurs and firms
from the forest sector
- Associations and NGOs
- Researchers and
academics
The seminar will take
place in Lusto (http://www.lusto.fi), the Finnish Forest Museum
and Information Centre, which is located in Punkaharju (http://www.punkaharju.fi) in south-eastern
Finland at the heart of the Saimaa district.
The seminar and the study
trip are free of charge. Accommodation, travel costs or meals are not included
and will be at participants’ expense.

open call for good practices of forest-based bioenergy development in different
RDPs. Via registration from you can suggest good practices from your country to
be presented in the seminar.
